I meant to comment about the star blankie too. I started making one and it was kinda wonky, like yours. I frogged it and decided next try would be skipping the double dc before the skipped stitch and just doing a single dc...I know there was another change I wanted to make, but can't think of it without it in front of me.
What makes me most content? My husband and daughter all sitting in the same room together just being themselves and reading or playing (Elena, not Mike) together. I love the whole "family thing"
Mmmm... definitely a sheepskin rug lying in the sun. That's the *best* place to have a nap on a cold winter day. :)) (I don't have a sheepskin rug, but my great aunt did. I bought one for my mom a few years back. I'll get one for me one of these days. ;) )
I want to try the star blanket, so if you guys come up with any alterations to the pattern that help please let me know!
Nat I hope that the lawyer can help straighten all this out...what a nightmare, I'm so sorry your family is going thorugh this. I might be crazy but it seems like Michigan has a higher than average problem with this kind of thing! You hear it almost every night on the news around here. So scary!
I have to echo what Deneen said...I'm happiest when me, my sweetie, and my girl are all piled on the couch and then the cat joins us...the whole family together, home and safe, that is the most content moment of all!
